Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

If you are looking for a particular publication, like a journal, magazine, or newspaper, you can use the Publication Finder to see if it is available in the Library's collection and how to access it.

To Search for a Publication by Title:

1. Open the Publication Finder.
2. Select the type of publication from the resource type drop-down list, or choose "All" to search all types.

   

3. Type the name of the publication into the search box.
   • As you type, it will start giving you suggestions. You can either click on a suggestion if it matches, or finish typing and click enter or the search button to run your search.

     

4. In the results, look for the publication name. Each result will include details about the publication and where you can access the full text. 
   • Each database will include the date range for the available issues of that title.

   

5. Click on the title of the database to go directly to that publication within the database. 
6. On the publication page in the database, you can usually search within the publication by keyword or choose a particular volume and issue number to see a list of included articles. (The method will vary slightly depending upon the database interface.)

Don't see the publication listed in your search results? This typically means that it's not available via the Library. Unsure? Reach out to your librarians for help!
