Question

If I have a 1 page article, do I have to put the page number in my MLA citation?

Answer

Works Cited: Yes

In the full citation on your Works Cited page, yes, do state what page the article appeared on.

Example:

Soukup, Elise. "Fashion: Skull and Bones Society." Newsweek, 16 Jan. 2006, p. 13. Gale OneFile: Criminal Justice, link.gale.com/apps/doc/A140720627/PPCJ?u=nhmccd_main&sid=bookmark-PPCJ&xid=4950ffdd.

In-Text Citation: No

You do not have to specify the page number in your parenthetical citation, however. (If you want to go ahead and include for perfect accuracy, go for it, though! But it's not necessary.)

Example:

Skulls had a fashionable moment in early 2000s fashion (Soukup).
